A unique event in Safari Park Beekse Bergen. Cheetahs Sara and Kate have given birth to four and three cubs respectively. Kate adopted Sara’s boy shortly after birth, because she could not care for the young ones due to her health. “This is really a special situation that has never happened to us before. Sara was doing fine, but we saw her health continue to deteriorate. As a result, she could no longer care for her young and one cub eventually died,” says zookeeper Mariska Vermij – Van Dijk.
