TV And Film Actress Who Starred In ‘Caddyshack’ Dies At 69

Cynthia Ann Cichorski, known professionally as Cindy Morgan, played the role of the sexy bombshell Lacey Underall in the hit ’80s comedy Caddyshack, starring opposite Chevy Chase, Billy Murray, and Rodney Dangerfield.

While “Caddyshack” is probably Morgan’s most memorable film, she also stared in other big films and TV shows, including “Tron,” “CHiPs,” “Falcon Crest,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “Matlock,” and “Hunter.” According to IMDB, most recently, she did voiceover work for the film “Face of the Trinity” in 2022.

Now comes the sad news that Morgan has died. Morgan’s emergency contact, Donna Ratliff Ballenger Cheatham, broke the news in a Facebook group writing, “I want to regretfully inform Cindy’s fans, that she has passed away. I got the call on New Years Eve night. I have been waiting for them to release a report and get more information. I’m sending info in to TMZ etc which should help spread the word of her passing. I will update as I can. May she fly with the angels and rest in peace.”

TMZ also shared the news of Morgan’s death with an update from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. According to the update, Morgan’s roommate was out of town on a trip over the holidays, and when she returned home, she knocked on Morgan’s door. When Morgan didn’t answer, she knew something might be wrong. She also noticed an odor coming from Morgan’s room, so she called 911.

When the police arrived, they entered Morgan’s room and discovered that she was dead. This was on December 30, 2023. The last time her roommate saw Morgan alive was on December 19th. The police are investigating Morgan’s death, but they do not suspect foul play.

Morgan was 69 years old at the time of her death, and so far her cause of death is considered to be natural causes.

Yahoo! Finance reports that Ballenger Cheatham and Morgan used to be roommates from 2003 to 2004. As her current emergency contact, Ballenger Cheatham was notified of Morgan’s death on December 31, 2023.
